Idiot Joy Showland: A Special All Night Exhibition of Artist Film and Video for Nuit Blanche
September 29, 2007, 7:03pm to sunrise

Artcore / Fabrice Marcolini, in collaboration with New York gallery Nicole Klagsbrun, is proud to feature John Pilson and Claudia Altman-Siegel’s film and video selection titled Idiot Joy Showland, Saturday, September 29, 2007. The film program includes 28 short films and videos by different contemporary artists for a total running time of 1:55 minutes.

This film and video program includes the work of Canadian artists Rodney Graham, Janet Cardiff and George Burnes Miller along with American star artists Cindy Sherman, Doug Aitken and Larry Clark. Also featuring the works of: Peggy Ahwesh, Guy Richards Smit, Michael Smith, Guy Ben-Ner, Alix Pearlstein, Kalup Linzy, James Yamada, Michael Almereyda, Jennifer Reeves, Harrell Fletcher, Jenny Drumgoole, Kathy Slade, Chris Larson, An-My Le, Chris Miner, Kristen Lucas, Neil Goldberg, Aiba Ruilova, Jeff Scher, Jenny Perlin, Laurel Nakadate, John Pilson, and Meiro Koizumi.

Rather than presenting work around a specific theme, the 28 short films in this show vary considerably and cover a tremendous range of topics, conventions, and concepts. The range in age and aesthetics of the invited artists ensures that each piece is radically
different. The uniting factor is that each of these films is short; most of them under five minutes which allows the viewer to maintain focused attention on each film throughout the entire program.
